Roland Rechtsteiner is the Managing Partner of Oliver Wyman's Corporate Risk Practice, based in Zurich. With 15 years of experience as a top management consultant, Roland has worked extensively with leading companies in a wide range of sectors including energy, health care, aerospace, and defense. His work has focused on advising clients on strategic matters and on how to integrate risk into strategic decisions like mergers and acquisitions and holistic quantitative Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks.

Roland leads Marsh & McLennan/Oliver Wyman activities in the World Economic Forum's Global Risk Program. This program identifies and assesses global risks to society, environment, and business as well as to the development of innovative mitigation options on both a corporate and political level.

Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Roland worked for a major strategy consulting group, where he conducted numerous assignments in the field of corporate strategy for various industries and built up a division for strategic risk management services. His major projects included a variety of strategic risk management assignments, international merger & acquisitions, corporate and business unit strategies, as well as performance improvement projects in North and Latin America, Europe, and Japan. He holds a Master of Engineering from Darmstadt University of Technology in Germany and studied business at the Universities of Stuttgart, Hagen and Bamberg in Germany.
